Meet  Corinne

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! I want you to know that every time you inquire from Corinne D'Orsi Photography you are talking directly to me, and it will be me who arrives to shoot your session - whatever it may be.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA in 2015 with a concentration in Photography and a minor in Art History. I currently live in a suburb of Boston, MA, and I work primarily in the Greater Boston Area & North Shore of Massachusetts, but I am willing to travel to wherever your dream destination may be! Who doesn't love a good adventure, am I right?

Photography became my passion the moment I got my first camera in 1999 - a Polaroid i-Zone Pocket Instant Camera in translucent fireball red. My parents gave it to me as a 6th birthday present with sticker-backed film. I took that little camera everywhere with me! One of my fondest memories is decorating my high-top Chuck Taylor's with photographs of everyone and everything I loved. My parents could already see my passion developing, so they provided me with countless disposable cameras throughout my childhood. I used to set up my dolls, my sisters dolls, and even our animals, and take their photographs. My mom used to joke that the photo techs at CVS probably thought we were insane with the amount of doll portraits I had developed. But I never thought of it as strange - it just felt natural to take portraits, no matter whose they were. (Yes, I still have those doll portraits, and yes, they are a bit creepy to say the least!)

To be honest, I'm not sure that I remember a time in my life that photography wasn't all-consuming. I love being able to capture and celebrate special moments and find something worth treasuring in the ordinary moments in between. I am constantly looking for new ways to share your simple moments through my eyes. I believe the things that  become so routine to us hold more value than we give them. I am very detail oriented, which means I always make sure to appreciate those little things. Every detail is a reflection of you, and no matter how big or how small, each detail deserves to be celebrated!

Most people say that I "go with the flow" while shooting, and I pride myself on that because you never know what might happen next, so I embrace it. I like to let things happen naturally because I think it adds a sense of authenticity to my work. I try to find the moments between moments, the subtleties, the candids - because it's the little things that matter most. These things might be overlooked in the present, but will be treasured down the road. The curve of a newborn's ear, the impossibly tight grasp of a child's hand in her mother's, or how softly the groom wraps his hands around his new bride's waist. These are the moments my clients missed, the moments they didn't know they couldn't live without. Ever since I was young, I've always loved to look at family photographs, whether they were lined up over a fireplace or vining their way up a staircase, and I truly love being the one to bring this gift to my clients and their future generations. My goal is to create photographs that my clients will be proud to share with their friends and family. Photographs are a physical form of memory, and I enjoy being able to capture and curate those moments for my clients.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you are interested. I want you and your photographer to be the best fit you can possibly be, so I encourage you to take your time and ask all the questions you can think of. This is an important decision, and it can be overwhelming, so I'm always happy to meet with you and chat over a good cup of tea!
